The veterinarians at Bellson Animal Hospital have many years experience performing a wide range of both soft tissue and orthopedic surgical procedures including, but not limited to: routine spays and neuters, Cesarean sections, biopsies and removal of tumors and cysts, abdominal exploratory surgery, gastric, intestinal, splenic, and bladder procedures, fracture repair, cruciate repair, surgeries of the ears and eyes, treatment for traumatic injuries (lacerations, etc.) and other emergency surgeries.

Your Pet's Surgery

We strive to make surgery as stress-free and comfortable as possible for you and your pet. Prior to surgery, your pet receives a complete physical exam and blood work up; this exam and laboratory tests help us create an anesthesia protocol that's unique to your pet.

Bellson Animal Hospital uses modern anesthetic technology to keep your pet comfortable and pain-free during all surgical procedures. Advanced veterinary medical technology is used to monitor anesthesia and your pet's blood pressure, temperature, respiration, heart rate, and other vital signs. A skilled veterinary technician is present throughout the surgery to monitor your pet's condition.

Pain Management & Your Pet

Pain management is an important part of your pet's surgical protocol. The less pain your pet experiences before, during and after surgery, the faster he or she recovers. Your pet receives pain management medication before, during and following surgery. Additional pain medication may be sent home. Whatever the situation, we want to provide your beloved pet with a painless and stress-free experience.
